Get started or continue on the journey of biographical writing with Goldie Alexander who has published three works of historical fiction.
Biographical writing is a way of exploring your own experience of life, other people's lives and places, topics and themes. It includes autobiography, memoir, travel, narrative non-fiction and biography.
You can write about your year in Peru, your father's childhood in Outback Australia, the pottery in Bendigo, growing up in the suburbs - or about any of the experiences of a persons life.
Use the workshop to develop the appropriate audience for your story and work on characters and plots to assist in writing your own biographical tale.
Cost $30, includes lunch.
This workshop is presented by Hobsons Bay Libraries, make a booking by phone or online at the website below.

Family Day Picnic featuring The Snuff Puppets
Sunday, 29 November 2009
12:00 NOON - 3:00 PM
Pack a picnic and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Wiliamstown Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 29th November in the company of some very special visitors. "This snail may be slow and quiet, but watch out because he's hungry. He towers over any lettuce leaf and will try to mumch on anything in his path. Picnics, lunch boxes and unsuspecting children beware: he's liable to leave no basket unturned in the never-ending quest for his lunch."
"Snuff Puppets' seagulls descend in a noisy quarrelsome pack. Larger than human size, they devour all in their path with their beaks, pooping on the sidewalk as they go. Grab your children before they do!"
